Derek Robertson: As a part of the management team in this primary school, what were your initial thoughts when we suggested piloting a project that involved using a computer game?
Male teacher: Well I think first and foremost when you approached the school, and in St Columbus we were situated automatically, I thought to myself a lot of our children access, have access to computer games, computer games consoles, use the PCs, for gaming in particular, because you can hear them talking about it. But thinking about the children that we deal with in this area of Dundee, I mean, anything that could enhance or make learning more enjoyable then we were going to come on board with it.
Female teacher: Well I thought great, I thought, computer games in school. I was at … you were my lecturer at university when I undertook the ICT elective and I thought doing it I could see how computer games in classrooms can really benefit children and are really good. Can see that from that, so I was really excited when you first came and said that your class are getting to do, I thought great.
