Transcript: Myst - Does Myst stifle imagination?

Male:

I don’t think it would be fair to say that in using Myst it’s inhibiting the children from using their imagination, I don’t think that’s the case at all.  It’s providing the stimulus, but then the children are constantly using their imagination, they’re wondering what’s next, what’s behind that cliff or what’s round that path and up over the, over the hill.  So sometimes the game, it’s just a starting point for them and then they can build from there.  Also in terms of transferring skills, I’d once again talk about the log books that they keep, because we’ve had other written tasks where we’ve been able to use the quality writing that they’ve created, in Myst we’ve been able to apply that to other areas of the curriculum.
