Improving the school environment

The partnership is between Craighead Primary School and a range of employers within the local community. This enterprise aims to provide high-quality learning experiences for pupils.

At Craighead Primary School pupils work together and with local businesses and other organisations to improve their school environment. The projects have included updating the grounds, planting and maintaining a garden and quiet space, creating a wormery and installing a wind turbine.

Craighead staff believe that these enterprising activities are also develping the skills in negotiation, co-operation and communication that will stand the pupils in good stead in their future learning and employment.
