An interdisciplinary study in Music and Business Management

Female Student 1: We are part of Project X, and that is a music enterprising project.  And what we did was we found new talent within our school, and we created a band, and we are going to be recording a CD.  And our band is called Last Minute.

Female Student 2: And to find the band we held auditions back in November.  Before we actually made the band they never knew each other, but now they have grown to be dead strong, and they will get along very well.

Female Student 1: We had several meetings where we went to a recording studio in Wishaw, and we got to meet management teams from other schools.  And what we did as a management team is we drew up a contract, which is legal, and the band had to sign because money was involved.  We created a CD cover, posters and we did several other things, but at our meetings we discussed how we were going to plan our band, and to get the benefit for them, and for our CD that we are going to make.

We have a concert that is going to be tomorrow, which we are hoping will be very, very good, and people within the whole of North Lanarkshire are going to be coming to it, so we are really excited and I can’t wait.

Female Student 2: I would have to say, on the whole, the project has been such a great experience, and I have learned so many new skills, and getting to communicate with people, and make lots of new friends.  It has been such a worthwhile event to do, and I would certainly do it all again.
