Well I think when I first wrote this I, like I quite like my character, but like the more we did it, probably because she was like chosen to be in the band, I … like I feel that I know her a lot more, like I’ve learnt like a lot more about her. So it’s odd, because like folk have … lots of people have been like asking, “Oh, what does she look like?” and like asking all sorts of questions, and it’s made me think a lot more about my character and I think like I know her a lot more. The fabulous Tasha Hooch. Her brother, Stephen, was so excited when his younger sister, Tasha, was born. Tasha was born on 2nd August 1986 in an Aberdeen Hospital to her proud parents, Eva and Max Hooch. She was born into a quite well off family who lived on the outskirts of Aberdeen. She is now famous for her excellent drumming skills and her new found talent of singings. Tasha had a very traumatic childhood. At the age of 11 Stephen was one of many who got killed in a terrible road accident involving two buses. Stephen had always loved his drums and played them constantly, even at six o’clock in the morning. Tasha had never really tried with her music, but after her brother had died she took up the drums in honour of his memory. She became very skilled and soon had an ambition to become a musician. She got a group of friends who were keen on music and started to form a band. At the age of 13 they had a good number of songs, but were still stuck in Tasha’s garage. Finally a school teacher who was deeply impressed with their music set them up with a producer who looked like the answer to their dreams. They were very original and they were told that they would go very far. The only problem was they did not have a leading singer and they felt that their music was missing something without a vocal artist, plus their backing singer did not want to sing solo. The producer decided to try out each of the musicians in turn for he felt that a new member would cause problems as these members were all very close friends and cooperated well and he didn’t want this band to fall apart. Tasha turned out to have a very unique and powerful voice and with a bit of training everyone was confident that they had found the missing piece of the jigsaw. She continued to play the drums for she said they were part of her life. A year later at the age of 18 their band Full Moon hit the charts with Pure Black Magic. After three years as pop stars they have sold millions of their albums and are currently the third richest young adults in the world. They also won an award for originality. What was once a dream is now a reality and fans can’t wait to see where they will take their music next. It just goes to show that even if you don’t think you have a talent you might find it one day, and you can have an effect on the world just like Tasha and her band, who have been a big influence on young children all over the world.
