Female: A number of other initiatives that we are involved with the Consolarium are the use of games consoles in the classroom. So at present there is a class who have been using the PS2 and Guitar Hero to create a context for learning, and it’s been absolutely fantastic, what a success. They have written biographies which are outstanding. They have produced guitars using design and technology methods which are … they’re hugely inventive and imaginative. They’ve created a band called Full Moon who are I am sure going to hit the charts shortly. The children are hugely motivated by the project, it’s been a fantastic success.
Female: It’s very hard to sum up in one word because it has been such a fantastic experience for the children, such a positive way to finish Primary 7. It has been brilliant; it has progressed their learning, it has enhanced their group skills, working together as a group, and it has been tremendous fun. And everyone has been on board, the reluctant writers have wanted to write, the … you know, it has just motivated everybody and I can’t sum it up in one word.
