All primary and secondary staff and most pupils have Glow access. Glow Staff Development programmes have been underway for over a year. A number of teachers, both primary and secondary, are using Glow with their classes, and this is expected to increase. Some high schools and one or two primary school staff are exploring the use of Glow Learn.
Staff recognise the facilities which Glow provides to support both 'home study' during adverse weather or other situations, and 'cross-authority' communication and collaboration. Several schools have participated in the National Glow Meet opportunities, A wide range of education staff have requested cross-authority Glow Groups and these are becoming active and well-used for instance the CfE Numeracy and CfE Literacy Glow Groups, Physical Education, and Learning Community Groups. External agencies such as the Parent Council Chairpersons, The Community Youth Team, Community Services Team, and the Active Schools Team are all familiar with Glow.
