Time and cost analysis learning journey

The Time management and cost analysis learning journey is for learning and teaching mathematics and numeracy in the learning context of Electric transport.

Learners apply knowledge and relevant skills to the consideration of planning for using electric transport.

In this journey, learners build up knowledge and skills through a curriculum focus on maths and numeracy. The lesson ideas allow them to see the purpose and relevance of learning about time management and modelling different options to help consideration of costs. Learners could then apply their learning to an engineering challenge where they are asked to help a council prepare for a bid to be the first Scottish city to have residents owning or renting vehicles with zero exhaust emissions.

There are rich opportunities to work with partners in this journey by inviting in someone from a local business or local authority to help learners gain insights into how they manage time and consider costing options in their organisations.
