Circuits learning journey

A close-up view of a circuit board

A journey for learning and teaching about circuits in the context of electric transport specifically focusing on the eRally Car project.

The eRally Car project is an initiative by former British Rally Championship competitors to bring about a radical change in the perception of electric vehicles by showcasing clean technology through motorsport.

In this journey, learners build up knowledge and skills through a curriculum focus in sciences.

The lesson ideas allow them to see the purpose and relevance of learning about circuits and how that knowledge is applied. Learners can then apply these skills in the interdisciplinary challenge where they are asked to design and build a battery-powered car to certain criteria.

There are rich opportunities to work with partners in this journey by inviting in a STEM ambassador or someone from a local business to help learners gain insights into the world of work.
