Inspired by the play opportunities afforded by Forest School sessions, a sub-group of the Woodlands Nursery Parents’ Forum (WNPF) organised a community clean up and created wider interest within the community in Neilsland Park and Earnock Glen woodlands in Hamilton.

Woodlands Nursery Centre caters for pre-school children aged six weeks to five years. It is registered for 119 children attending at any one session. It is open all-year round from 8am to 6pm.

Forest School sessions are offered to all pre-school aged children in termly blocks on Tuesdays and Thursdays, morning and afternoon.

The nursery uses Neilsland Park, a mature, mixed woodland which is a five-minute walk from the setting. It is owned by South Lanarkshire Council.
