Larkhall Learning Community - Introduction

Sectarianism is tackled in all schools in the Larkhall Learning Community and its denominational twinning schools as part of the primary to secondary transition and in the Gypsy/Traveller project at Universal Connections.

The Larkhall Learning Community extends to the neighbouring villages of Stonehouse, Ashgill and Netherburn.

• Pupils from Craigbank Primary, Dalserf Primary, Glengowan Primary, Hareleeshill Primary, Machanhill Primary, Netherburn Primary, Newfield Primary, Robert Smillie Memorial Primary, Stonehouse Primary all transfer as S1 pupils to Larkhall Academy.

• Generally, Gypsy/Traveller children attend Craigbank Primary School. 

• Pupils from St Mary’s Primary, Larkhall, transfer as S1 pupils to Holycross High School, Hamilton.
