Homecoming activities at Kirkcaldy High School

Kirkcaldy High School sent in the following details of its Homecoming activities...

A series of House Group Assemblies highlighting Scottish achievements and successes

Displays around the school celebrating Scottish success in enterprise and the arts.

A Burns' Supper (22nd Jan) involving pupils from all year groups (1-6).This was attended by parents/guardians and people from the community and many pupils attended too. This was marketed by the S6 (Skills for Work) Retail group. It involved: the English Department, the Music Department, the Learning Resource Centre staff and a dance group.

Homecoming Scotland is going to be the theme for Book Week.

There will be a Scottish lunch on Feb 27th to greet the Fair Trade Delegation.

Learning Support has been running a series of educational games (with the Reading Project pupils) to promote knowledge of Scottish vocabulary and facts about Scotland.
