'What a brilliant concept. To see so many children pay so much attention was quite something.'

RSNO Education brings live orchestral concerts to pre-school and primary children. The RSNO Schools Concerts have introduced teacher training sessions to support each concert.

'Thank you for taking the time to make classical music so interesting for pre-schoolers.'

Monster Music

Royal Scottish National Orchestra

RSNO Concerts for pre-school children aged 3-4 years introduce elements of music through participation, singing, stories and lots of fun.

The programme includes the Flight of the Bumblebee, the William Tell Overture and the Wheels on the Bus!

Mega Music

RSNO Concerts for P5-P7 pupils explore the stories and themes behind some of classical music’s greatest repertoire.

'The screen was a good thing. Showing pictures of the musicians and composers made it more real. They discussed this on the bus on the way home.'

Maestro Music

RSNO Concerts for secondary pupils in S4-S6 explore key concepts of the music curriculum in an educational and entertaining concert experience.

The programme includes Holst - Mars, the Bringer of War, Debussy - Prélude à l’Après-midi d’un Faune, and Philip Glass - Symphony No 4 Heroes (Mvt 6).

'Fantastic - excellent choice and the presentation really helped pupils to follow structure and concepts.'
