Welcome to a selection of works of art from the Royal Scottish Academy

This resource has been developed to support the teaching and learning of Art and Design throughout Scotland, particularly for students of National Qualifications.

The images are taken from works of art in the Royal Scottish Academy‚Äôs collections and show the works of 140 artists. All artists are either Scottish or have a strong Scottish connection. Each image is accompanied by brief information about the work, a biography of the artist and a critical commentary of the work.
