The annual National Storytelling Week is organised by the Society for Storytelling and aims to promote what it describes as 'the oldest art form in the world'.

The Society provides advice on organising and publicising events including storytelling in schools, libraries, museums and art galleries.

The website has resources for developing storytelling skills and advice for teachers, as well as information about more than 150 storytellers throughout the UK.

The Scottish Storytelling Centre is Scotland's national resource centre for storytelling. Information on over 80 professional storytellers living and working in Scotland can be found in the Centre's online directory.
