Literacy Action Plan: An Action Plan to Improve Literacy in Scotland

This Scottish Government action plan aims to raise the standards of literacy for all, from the early years to adulthood. The plan is aimed at anyone who would benefit from support, with a particular focus on those with the lowest levels of literacy.

As well as building reading, writing and communication skills, learners are supported to move on to the development of advanced literacy skills, including critical thinking, analysis, evaluating and interpretation.
