Jeans for Genes Day is the annual fundraising event for the UK charity for children with genetic disorders.
Individually, genetic disorders are rare but together they affect 1 in 25 children born in the UK - more than 30,000 babies each year. The associated health problems mean that genetic disorders are the biggest killer of children aged 14 years and under.
Jeans for Genes provides funding for the care and support of children with genetic disorders; helps fund research into genetics and the development of effective treatments and cures; and raises awareness and promotes understanding of what it means to be affected by a genetic disorder.
On Jeans for Genes Day, money is raised by asking everyone to wear their jeans and make a donation.
