Curriculum for Excellence in action

This video summarises three exercises undertaken by Scottish secondary schools to demonstrate the practical application of Curriculum for Excellence to learning and teaching.

Pupils promoted a product to a French-speaking country in order to help improve their understanding of international trade.

Learners explored the practical application of physics by designing a bumper for a car. The Scottish Schools Equipment Research Centre (SSERC), who devised the activity on which this lesson was based, can supply technical guides and work cards to assist practitioners. Learners wrote their own soap opera, in which their characters acted to save an ailing company by diversifying and producing new products.
