National Parent Forum of Scotland

Parent Councils across Scotland have nominated people to represent their local authority area as a member of the National Parent Forum of Scotland (NPFS).

The National Parent Forum of Scotland has been set up to give Parent Councils and parents an opportunity to discuss and raise educational issues of mutual interest or concerns at a national level.

The Forum will work in partnership with national and local government and other organisations involved in education and well being issues to represent parents in pursuit of our aim to help every pupil maximise his/her potential.

National Parent Conference 2012

The 2012 National Parent Forum Annual Conference took place at Bishopbriggs Academy, East Dunbartonshire, on Saturday 6 October 2012. This year's theme was 'Aiming higher'.

The event provided parents with a packed agenda of seven seminars presented by schools, the Scottish Qualifications Authority, Education Scotland and other organisations supporting CfE implementation.

The keynote address 'Delivering CfE qualifications for our children' was given by Dr Janet Brown, Chief Executive of the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA), followed by a short questions and answers session.
