Choral music can be described as any music sung by a group of voices, from a quartet of four voices to a choir required for Mahler's Symphony No. 8 for a thousand performers.
The music can be performed by any combination of voices:
mixed adult voices
a SATB choir
female voices
male voices
children's voices
or any combination of these.
