Abernethy Ardgour is located in a 3000 acre estate on the shores of Loch Linnhe. The Centre is also the base for the Abernethy School of Adventure Leadership which offers a range of courses for those seeking to develop their adventure activity skills or become outdoor instructors.

The Abernethy Trust operates four Christian Adventure Centres across Scotland. The centre at Barcaple is located near the town of Kirkcudbright in Dumfries and Galloway and offers a range of outdoor learning experiences.

The largest Caledonian pine forest in Britain. It offers a unique mix of woodland and northern bog, with a great variety of homes for breeding birds such as capercaillie, crossbill, crested tit, osprey and goldeneye. Abernethy is also well known for its many rare northern insects. The best time to visit is between April to July for the birds, plants and insects. Ospreys can be viewed through live video at the visitor centre.
