Digital literacy, the effective and creative use of ICT, is key to developing the skills for learning, life and work needed by young people in the modern world.

Schools must find new ways of thinking about how to use ICT so that it is at the heart of teaching and learning - not using computers to do the same things more efficiently, but changing the process of learning through digital media itself.

Consultation on a Digital Learning and Teaching Strategy

A public consultation on the development of a Digital Learning and Teaching Strategy for Scotland was announced on 24th September 2015 by Dr Alasdair Allan.
