Anything you can get information from can be called a source. The internet is a fantastic source of information about all sorts of subjects, but can you believe everything you read on it?

In this unit you will learn how to identify:

• who wrote or owns the source material
• who and what it was written for (its purpose)
• how to judge whether the information is likely to be reliable or not.
