Update on Quids in! Scotland

27 January 2012

Quids in! Scotland, a new magazine helping people on low incomes to manage their money, is set to be launched at the end of March 2012. Produced by social enterprise the Social Publishing Project, the publication will offer news, tips and advice on ways to overcome debt, improve budgeting skills, responsibly save and borrow, and increase incomes.

Quids in! is a highly accessible read, presenting practical help in a tabloid style – more like a Sunday supplement or TV guide than most guides to money management. It is sold to social landlords and is often distributed as a lightweight supplement to tenant newsletters. See a fuller report of Quids in! and a copy of a previous issue on our notice board item of 16 January.

To help with the ongoing quarterly publication of Quids in! Scotland an advisory panel is being set up, and Social Publishing Project would welcome expressions of interest from financial inclusion officers, communication managers and local authority staff who would like to get involved at this early stage.
